Welcome to the new digital narrative engine for the Chicano Music Festival (CMF).

Founded in 2023 in San Diego by Reyes Rodriguez (pka: Mr. Lil One), the CMF was built to celebrate, elevate, and protect the depth, diversity, and evolution of Chicano culture. We are designed as a living expression of community and identity, where generations connect and our culture is not only preserved but aggressively pushed forward.

For too long, mainstream media has attempted to paint Chicano culture as a flat, dangerous monolith. They are wrong. True Chicano culture contains multitudes—it is a profound tapestry of indigenous resilience, deep-rooted family ties, existential struggle, high-art futurism, and technological innovation. We are a culture built by survivors who refuse to be erased, and we are constantly evolving.
